Special Notes:

This is a senior position and the candidate must have at least 6 years of experience.

The client prefers candidates who are local to the Northeast Ohio area.

Project Description

·    The JE MDA (Multi-Dimensional Analysis) Desktop Project involves the construction of local SQL Server Analysis Services cubes for consumption by a custom-built windows application. 

·    The data stored within the cube is Journal Entry and Trial Balance data acquired from the audit client. 

·    The structure of the local cube is defined at run-time within the application. 

·    The ETL process for the cube is built in stored procedures, as SQL Server Integration Services is not available within SQL Server Express Edition.

·    The LTBP Project involves the construction of a Data warehouse and a sophisticated ETL process.

·    The data stored for the application will be used by the business to do Long Term planning for potential revenue growth.

Description of day to day tasks

·    In depth knowledge of Enterprise Application Development and database needs

·    In depth knowledge of relational database, design and implementation

·    Minimum of five years of successful data warehousing project experience

·    Experience in OLAP, ODS, Snowflake schema, Star schema, ETL, MDM, Data mining, DBMS and Data Modeling is required

·    In depth knowledge of MS Analysis services

·    Depth knowledge: of

o       Microsoft SQL Server 2000 – 6+ yrs. required

o       Microsoft SQL Server 2005 – 2+ yrs. required

o       Other related tool experience such as DTS, SSIS

·    Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills

·    Excellent organizational and time management skills

·    Creativity and self-motivation

·    Ability to learn new technologies and take on responsibility

·    Ability to work independently and in a team environment with aggressive timetables

·    Experience with Hyperion Essbase

·    In-depth knowledge of database modeling (ERD) utilizing AllFusion Erwin

·    Knowledge of Disaster and Recovery strategies such as Microsoft Cluster Technology

·    Knowledge of SQL Server Replication, Database mirroring and log shipping

Description of technical environment

SQL Server 2005, SSIS, SSAS, OLAP

Desired Educational or Professional Candidate background:  MCDBA would be a plus.
